Hong Yin is teaching graphic design and Western art history at Muskingum University. Her artworks have been displayed in museums and galleries both in USA and China. Some of her artworks received awards.

She authored the books, An Exploration into Graphic Design in 2005 and The Old Silk Road, Contemporary Chinese Painting in 2006 (Co-author w/ Prof. Yan Sun).

Born in an artists' family that is of Tibetan descent, Hong Yin started painting and drawing when she was little. She likes to paint and likes to travel. While she is interested in many subjects of painting, her favorite is about Tibetan people and land. She traveled to the Tibetan area for many times and find endless inspirations for art creation.
