Ernest Freed (1908-1974) is a well-known American artist and art educator. He held positions as the former Head of the Art Education Department at the University of Iowa, the Head of the School of Art at Bradley University, and the Professor and Head of Printmaking at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. During his time at Otis, he curated numerous national printmaking exhibitions.
