Private Painting Classes for One or a Group of Two

If you hope to learn and improve your painting skills, take private painting classes taught by Prof. Yan Sun. The private classes are tailored to meet your special interests in subject matter (landscape or portrait), media (oil or acrylic painting) and techniques. The purpose of the private painting classes is to create a supportive learning environment for individuals and to facilitate artistic growth and development. Prof. Yan Sun will provide detailed instructions, helping you understand and apply the painting techniques to your own artwork.

The private classes will take place in Yan Sun Art Museum & Gallery. Basic painting materials and equipment are provided, including easels, canvas, brushes, paints, and other supplies. You are welcome to bring your own supplies.

If you are interested in taking a private class or classes, please send an email to yan.sun.art.gallery@gmail.com and let us know your preferred subject matter, media, and techniques. We will customize the class content to suit your specific needs and preferences. Duration per class: Three hours. Fee: $80 for one participant; $120 for a group of two.

Painting Workshops

General information about the workshops

Two workshops in spring and two workshops in Fall.

Time: Saturdays

Location: 604 Main St., Zanesville, OH.

Participants will follow step-by-step instructions with a demonstration by Prof. Yan Sun. The workshop will take place in a studio setting, and participants can use preselected photo references provided or bring your own.

The workshop is open to all skill levels, and we provide the supplies you'll need, including an 11”x14” canvas and a palette; acrylic colors and brushes; as well as a brush washing container and paper towels.

Fee: $35 per participant. The fee is non-refundable but transferable to your friend or family if you can’t attend.

Registration: Pre-registration is required. Limited seats are available.
