This extraordinarily large ceiling painting was created by Yan Sun from 1996-1997, based on four biblical stories: Jesus in the Garden with Children, Daniel in the Lion's Den, Jesus Washing Peter's Feet, and Resurrection.

Yan Sun completed each of the stories on four huge canvases that were later installed on the ceiling of a private architecture in Texas. Yan Sun was inspired by the art of Italian artists Michelangelo Buonarroti, Raphael, and Giovanni Battista Tiepolo when he created this painting. He had included some images from the masterpieces by those artists in this ceiling painting.
